Renu Desai concern over poor

Renu Desai, actress and wife of Pawan Kalyan is glowing in motherhood. Taking care of her kid and home, Renu has resolved to do something for the humanity around her.

She is now making her debut on small screen in may which will have a talk show that will put forth her strong views as an individual. “It is another medium in which I could share ideas and causes,” she said.  At her home in Nandagiri Hills, Renu has bought together the locality people who are primarily labourers living in small dwellings. She started off by distributing blankets in winter and now as an offshoot of motherhood, wants to create an awareness among people about primary health and innoculation. In an exclusive conversation to Andhra cafe, Renu says, “I haven’t wound up my work as an actress and will be back soon, but now i’m putting my best into this. It’s community and development that are my true calling.

The purpose of her mission is to raise the level of consciousness about vaccinations that are so imperative for the new borns and toddlers.”

She adds, “Getting the people here for the medical camp was a herculean task. Convincing them to get vaccinated was much more difficult with them questioning so many things. At one point of time i decided to give up but then it would be nothing but escapism.

The work doesn’t end here and they need to come back for the next course otherwise the whole purpose is lost.” Renu wants to use her celebrity status for a good cause. “I could have done it on a bigger scale with a lot of hungama but that’s not what i want. People would definitely raise doubts about my credibility.”

The lady urges everyone to do something for those who are not educated or uninformed. It’s not about money at all. All it takes is some time to educate them about it, they could be your maid’s son or someone living in a nearby hut.

Having a healthy child is a blessing, a god’s gift and we as good citizens owe it to ourselves to fulfill our responsibilities.”
